Crowning Ceremony
As your guests arrive, invite them into your "royal hall." Let the Birthday Queen lead the ceremony, crowning the girls with tiaras or paper crowns (or knighting the boys with a sword) as they kneel before her. Announce each royal guest to the others as Princess “Name” (or Knight "Name") so everyone can learn one another’s name if they are not well acquainted. After the ceremony, introduce the court jester (Dad/Mom or an older sibling dressed up), who will lead games and activities during the party.

Mermaid Races

Wrap green crepe paper around guests' legs (from below the knees to ankles) to turn them into mermaids. Set up starting and finishing lines in your living room or back yard and have the mermaids race. The guest who hops across the finish line first wins a prize.

Make A Wish

Have each child see how many ping pong balls they can get in a bucket. But they must make a wish before they toss the ball.
The one who gets most of her wishes in wins.

Pass the Apple

Just like hot potato but whoever gets caught with the poison apple is out.

Little Princess’s Message Mix-up
Help the Princess get a message to the King and Queen. Seat your guests in a circle. The birthday child thinks of the message that she would like to send to the king or queen (parents work great for this role) and whispers it to the person next to her. The person receiving the message tells the next in the circle and so on until the message reaches the last person in the circle. The king or queen tells the message out loud and then the birthday child tells the original message. Expect the unexpected when you learn the original vs. the final mixed up message. Try again with another player starting the message and continue until your guests are ready for a new activity.

Lilypad Race
Cross the moat to the castle with this fun relay game. In advance, cut four large lilypads from green poster board (or cardboard colored green). Each lilypad should be approximately 12-15” in diameter. Divide your guests into two teams and give the first person on each team two lilypads. These lilypads will be the only thing players can step on as they travel across the moat, around a chair and back to their team. To begin, the first player places one lilypad on the ground, steps on it, and places the next lilypad down in front of her. She then steps from the first to the second lilypad, and so on, until she has returned to her team. The next player continues in the same fashion until each player on the team has crossed the moat. This relay game will keep each team rolling in laughter!

Find the Princess
The Little Princess is always hiding, sometimes the fame gets to her, it’s time to send out a search party to find her. To play this game select one child to be "the Princess." It is usually best to let the birthday child go first. Have the rest of the children count to 50 while the birthday child hides somewhere near the party room. When the guests have reached 50, release them to look for the birthday child. As each child finds the one hiding, he/she hides along with them. One by one the guests will disappear from the party area. The last child to discover the hiding place is "the Princess" for the next game. Your little searchers will have a hard time containing their giggles when they are all packed into the hiding place like sardines!

Royal Taxes
For this fun game, you'll need to hide faux coins in the yard or throughout your house. (If you use chocolate gold-covered coins, consider freezing them beforehand to avoid having melted chocolate everywhere.) At the party, divide your guests into two teams and see who collects the most taxes for the Princess before time is up. Be sure to "pay" everyone with the coins for their efforts!

Your birthday girl and her guests will feel like princesses when wearing these lovely tiaras. Kit includes materials and instructions to make 8 beautiful tiaras. NOTE: These tiaras may take some time to create due to their complexity. Therefore, we recommend that you have additional grown-ups on hand to assist, or begin assembling the tiaras a few days before the party, leaving the amethyst stone section for younger guests to complete. Witches' Hats

You'll need fudge-striped shortbread cookies. Hershey kisses, and a tube of orange decorator icing. Attach a chocolate kiss to the chocolate bottom of each cookie with decorator icing. Pipe icing around the base of chocolate kiss and draw a bow or buckle to finish!

Royal Punch

1 can Hawaiian Punch

1/2 gallon pineapple sherbet

20-02 liter bottle of ginger ale

Freeze a can of Hawaiian Punch fruit juice until slushy. Pour into a punch bowl. Add 1/2 gallon pineapple sherbet and two bottles of ginger ale.

Chicken Fingers

A medieval favorite!

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut crosswise into 1 1/2-inch strips

Heat oven to 425ºF. Melt butter in rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches, in oven. Mix flour, paprika, salt and pepper. Coat chicken with flour mixture. Toss with melted butter in pan.
Bake uncovered 15 minutes. Turn chicken strips; bake 10 to 15 minutes longer or until no longer pink in center. Makes 6 servings

2. Get close, fill the frame with the subject(s) you are wanting to capture.
3. Take action photos, capture the thrills and emotions by taking candid pictures.
4. Focus on small groups or individuals, you do not need to have every guest in every photo.
5. When you have your film developed, order extra prints and send them to the parents afterward.
