Toy Time
Gather your child’s favorite toys in a designated area and let the kids have fun playing until everyone arrives. Incorporate as many Toy Story 2 characters as possible, set out Toy Story coloring books, or play the movie soundtrack in the background for fun!

Toy Soldier Relay
Your guests will be in stitches after playing this game. Before the party, cut four army helmets from cardboard. Each helmet should measure approximately 12” x 15” in size. (Birthday Express shipping boxes work well for this project.) Divide your soldiers into two equal lines and give the first person in each line two helmets. These helmets become the only things players can step on as they travel from the starting line, around a chair and back to their team.

The first player in each line begins by placing one helmet on the ground and stepping on it. Then, the players place their second helmet on the ground and step on it. This process continues until they have traveled the course and returned to their teams. Then, they pass their two helmets to the next person and the relay continues until everyone has had a turn. The team that completes the course first wins!

Woody and Buzz Message Mix-Up
Help Woody get a message to Buzz! First, seat your guests in a circle and let the birthday child think of a message that Woody needs to send to Buzz. He or she then whispers it to the person on his or her left, and so on, until it travels all the way around the circle.

The last child to receive the message should be the person on the birthday child’s right. He or she then tells the message out loud. Then, compare it with the original message that the birthday child started with. Expect the unexpected when you learn the original vs. the final mixed-up message! Try again with another player starting a new message and continue until your guests are ready for a new activity.

Star Command Badges
Invite the Buzz Lightyear fans at your party to design their own space badges. Before guests arrive, cut out badges from construction paper. Provide the kids with space stickers, extra paper, glue, scissors, glitter, markers, crayons, magazine pictures, etc., and encourage creative expression.

During the party, hand out extra badges as favors while playing games. When giving out the badges, give each guest a message from Star Command. Honor the kids with special awards, such as Best Team Player, Most Infectious Giggle, Biggest Smile or Best Buzz Lightyear Impression.

Toy Maker Tag
This is a fun version of the popular game Freeze Tag. Have guests spread out in the party area and designate the birthday child as the “toy maker” who tries to tag the others. If a player is tagged, he or she becomes a toy and must freeze. Other players who have not been tagged and made into toys, can “unfreeze” toys by touching them. The first player to be made into a toy three times is the next toy maker.

Stick the Tail on Hamm
A classic game with a Toy Story twist! Draw a picture of Hamm the Piggy Bank on a large piece of cardboard and mount it on the wall. Then, cut out a curly tail for each guest and add a piece of tape to the back. Blindfold the children one at a time and give each a chance to stick their tail on Hamm. The child who comes closest the right spot wins!

Etch-A-Sketch Pizzas
This toy-inspired snack also makes a great mealtime activity! You will need at least half an English muffin for each child. Split muffins in half and spread with pizza sauce. Give the children a muffin half each and let them design a picture on their pizzas. Provide pepperoni, sliced olives, sliced mushrooms, grated American or mozzarella cheese, and your child’s other favorite toppings chopped into pieces. Watch as your guests make fun scenes, build faces, etc. Don’t be surprised if they rearrange their toppings a few times until they’ve created the ultimate picture. When they’re done creating, bake pizzas on a cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 5-10 min, or until cheese melts.

Chug-a-Lug Lemonade
Quench your guests’ thirsts with this colorful lemonade beverage. Before the party, freeze cranberry juice in small-cubed ice trays and prepare lemonade according to the package directions. At the party, put two-to-three cranberry cubes into each glass of lemonade and watch as the drink turns pink!

Mr. Pear Head Salad
Ingredients:
1/2 canned pear per child
lettuce
grapes
almonds
red hot candies
raisins
licorice whips

Directions: For each party guest, lay a leaf of lettuce on a plate and place a pear half on top. Put raisins, almonds, red hots, grapes and licorice whips in small bowls within easy reach of the children. Let each child decorate a pear half just like a Mr. or Mr. Potato Head®. They’ll love snacking on their own creations!

Dogs in a Blanket
Your guests will love this snack inspired by Slinky the Dog! To prepare, purchase your favorite brand of refrigerator croissants, hot dogs and cheese. Slice hot dogs lengthwise and cut cheese into strips. Unroll croissants, stuff them with cheese and hot dog slices, and roll them back up. Bake as directed.

Jell-O Jigglers®
Purchase your child’s favorite flavors of Jell-O brand gelatin. Follow the directions to make Jell-O Jigglers, and use different shaped cookie cutters to create theme-related shapes. Serve on a tray and let your guests choose their own.

Purchase your child’s favorite flavor of boxed cake mix and follow baking instructions on the package to make cupcakes.
