Pass The Balloon
Players are
in a circle. They pass the balloon to each other behind their backs, trying not
to hold it for a long time in their hands. Then after the signal the player who
has a balloon in his hands is out of the game.
Crepe
Paper Tag
This game needs lots
of room - like a backyard..
Split into two groups - each team gets their
own color of crepe paper.
Tie the crepe paper around the waists of each player
- like a belt.
The goal is to rip off the other teams belts before they rip
off yours. Once a player gets debelted, they sit down. The last person left standing
with his belt on wins.
Bear's
Big Blue House
Gather your guests together and make Bears house
together! Before the party, spread 2 boxes of sugar cubes on a tray. Using a plant
mister, spray cubes with water colored with blue food color. (If the color is
too light, increase color drops and decrease the amount of water.) Let cubes dry.
To make icing for mortar, beat 2 egg whites until they are stiff, add 3 cups of
powdered sugar, and mix until the icing is of thick spreading consistency. Add
drops of blue food coloring to make the mortar blue. Cover a thick piece of cardboard
with foil for a base to build the house on. Dip the first layer of cubes in icing
and stick to the base for a strong foundation. Then, let the kids dip and stick
sugar cubes as they imagine Bears Big Blue House!
Friendly
Follow the Leader
Join Bear and his friends in the fun with this silly
activity! Play some music and choose a leader to be Bear, lining up the other
guests behind him/her. The leader makes all sorts of creative moves, and the rest
of the line follows. If the leader needs some help you can suggest hopping, jumping,
twirling, rolling on the ground, etc. Let each child have a turn, changing the
leader every few minutes.
Storytime
with Bear
Seat your guests in a circle to listen to a story about Bear
and his friends. Even though your guests may not understand all the words, just
sitting together and looking at the pictures will be fun. If youd prefer,
you can let them watch a video or cartoon about Bear. This is a wonderful activity
to keep the kids entertained, and help them calm down as the party comes to an
end.
Play-Doh® Fun House
This activity is wonderful for youngsters who are still developing their coordination
skills. Simply purchase several containers of Play-Doh and enough bear, house,
mouse, moon, and other fun-shaped cookie cutters for each guest to have one. Before
you start, be sure to put a protective covering on your play surface so it doesnt
get damaged. Then, place a small amount of Play-Doh and one cookie cutter in front
of each guest. This activity is sure to keep their hands and imaginations busy
for a while. Later, your guests can take their cookie cutter home as a reminder
of your wonderful party!
Bear's Make
& Take Placemats
You may want to enlist the help of other parents
for this activity. Purchase a Bear in the Big Blue House coloring book, crayons,
thin pieces of cardboard (for stiffening the placemats), and a roll of clear Con-Tact
paper. Remove the pages from the coloring book and cut the cardboard to match
the size of two coloring pages. (Cut the Con-Tact paper a little larger). At the
party, give each child two pages and let them have fun. When theyre finished,
lay the pictures on top of the cardboard and cover with the clear Con-Tact paper.

Piņatas

rain down. This 96-piece assortment of toys and candy is perfect for eight guests,
and will bring even more fun to your piñata activity.

gentler piñata activity. Kit includes trap door release and 20 pull strings.
Tasty Treats And Menu Ideas
Ojo's
Orange Crush
Quench your guests thirsts with
a treat the color of Bears little friend, Ojo. Your guests will like it
so much, they wont realize how good it is for them! Combine one 12-ounce
can frozen juice concentrate, 3 cups nonfat milk, and 1 pint low-fat orange sherbet
in a blender. (Halve ingredients to prevent your blender from overflowing.) Mix
well. Serve with a wide straw and a spoon. Enjoy!
Silly
Sandwiches
Get the gang together for these fun-shaped sandwiches! Make
your child's favorite kind of sandwich, and use cookie cutters to cut them into
fun shapes. Let guests choose their own shape by selecting from a tray of sandwiches.
Pip & Pop's Party Pizza
Gather the group together and have pizza with Bear and his otter friends, Pip
& Pop! Split English muffins in half and top with prepared pizza sauce and
grated American, or mozzarella, cheese. Put a muffin half in front of each child
and let them decorate their pizza with pepperoni, sliced olives, mushrooms, green
peppers and other favorite pizza toppings. Bake pizzas on a cookie sheet at 375
degrees for 5-10 min, or until cheese melts.
Luna's
Honey Lemonade
After talking to Bear every night, Luna (the moon) knows
how much he loves honey! To delight your guests with this easy-to-make drink,
mix 2 quarts lemonade, 3 quarts unsweetened pineapple juice, and 2/3 cup honey.
Since bears also love berries, make special ice cubes by dropping a few blueberries
into the ice cube tray compartments. Add water and let the trays set at room temperature
for an hour, so the cubes freeze clear. At the party, drop a few berry cubes in
each glass!
Bear's Big Cupcakes
Your guests will love these cute cupcakes as much as Bear does! Bake 2 dozen chocolate
cupcakes according to package directions, or your own recipe. When they are cool,
remove liners. Frost the top of 12 chocolate cupcakes. On the top of each frosted
cupcake, place an unfrosted cupcake upside-down, securing it with a toothpick.
Frost the upside-down cupcakes on all sides with chocolate frosting. Break several
Oreo® cookies in half and place two halves on top of each cupcake for ears.
Use chocolate chips, M&Ms®, or other small candies of your choice
to make eyes, a nose and a mouth.
